We would like to invite you to this year's first lecture from the series "What is architecture?" by Lukáš Žďárský.
When: October 29, 2018, at 6:00 PM
Where: Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague, Studio D
Lukáš Žďárský and his colleague Jakub Zajíc are behind the projects Radlická kulturní sportovna, Kavárna co hledá jméno, and Holešovice's Vnitroblock. They have a special ability to create something from nothing. Specifically, to transform neglected, abandoned spaces into places that are full of life. And also very cool. This is exactly what Kavárna, co hledá jméno and Radlická kulturní sportovna – a bar and space for cultural events – on Prague's Smíchov are like. And now the Holešovice Vnitroblock, a former rundown factory, has transformed under their hands into a café and a store with designer items, along with a dance hall upstairs. Moreover, in a few months, an alley will open in its courtyard, where you will find a bakery, a restaurant, a tattoo parlor, a barber shop, and a theater hall. Although the guys collaborate with others on the opening of these places, they will operate all of them themselves. (Source: Forbes 30 under 30)
The lecture is free and accessible to the public.
