In our daily ventilation, whether by opening or tilting windows, we rarely realize and acknowledge the disadvantages associated with the standard provision of fresh air into the room. Besides noise, dust and unwanted allergy-causing pollen also enter the room, not to mention bothersome insects. During cold winter days and nights, energy needed for heating escapes from the building. All these negatives are effectively addressed by the VentoTherm ventilation system from Schüco. It is an integrated air supply and exhaust system with a filter, heat recovery, and sensor-controlled operation. Smooth air exchange with the option of automatic operation is ensured while the window is closed, without drafts, noise disturbances, or insects. The pollen filter, part of the VentoTherm system, will be appreciated not only by allergy sufferers. Another significant advantage is energy savings; the system reduces energy losses caused by ventilation by up to 35%.
The Schüco VentoTherm ventilation system is designed for integration into Schüco aluminum and plastic windows. It is installed in an ideal position at the top of the window, where it quietly draws air from the interior and directs it to the heat recovery unit. At the same moment, fresh air is drawn in from the exterior, brought in through an exterior F7-class filter (according to ČSN EN 779). This filter prevents the entry of pollen, fine dust, and small insects. The outdoor air is then brought to the heat recovery unit, where it is heated using the exhausted air and supplied into the interior. The exhaust air, cooled by this process, is then expelled outside.
The operation of the Schüco VentoTherm system is simple. Turning the system on and off, as well as selecting one of two ventilation intensity levels, is done using a controller integrated into the window frame. Additional comfort is provided by the automatic operation function. In this mode, integrated moisture and CO2 emission sensors monitor air quality and manage the exhaust of "old" air and the supply of fresh air. Ventilation thus essentially adapts to the individual needs of the user. Using remote control, the VentoTherm ventilation unit can be connected and integrated into the building's central control system.
Schüco VentoTherm, an effective system solution for decentralized ventilation while the window is closed, requires minimal space and is fully integrated into the frame (the average installation height is only 50 mm). All the properties of a closed window, such as noise and burglary protection, remain intact. The system is quiet, with a minimal own noise level of < 26 dB (A) at setting 1 (15 m³/h), making it suitable for installation in bedrooms. With a heat recovery efficiency of up to 45%, significant energy savings can be achieved, and the ventilation unit reduces energy losses caused by ventilation by up to 35%. This can enhance the energy standard of the building and ensure a pleasant climate and air quality in the room while complying with applicable standards and regulations. The system provides effective ventilation in new buildings, during renovations, and reconstructions.
