On November 5–6, 2009, the third annual conference "Timber Constructions in Practice" will take place at the Skalský Dvůr hotel near Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. The event is intended for professionals from design and construction firms specializing in timber construction.
Expert lectures will address current issues, certification of timber builders, experiences with the Green Savings program, the composition of timber construction structures related to the energy performance certificate of buildings, the indoor environment of energy-efficient homes, as well as new structures with panel materials, safe passages for flues through timber construction walls, building acoustics, project details solved using software, and many other topics. The focus will always be on practical experience, correct and incorrect procedures, and solutions during the construction of timber buildings.
At the third edition of the conference, 21 expert lectures will be presented. Technicians from 22 partner companies will be available throughout the conference to present the correct technological solutions, showcase material, product, and tool options, and demonstrate proper work procedures.
The conference is included in the lifelong learning project of ČKAIT. It is awarded 2 credit points. The event is held under the auspices of the Association of Suppliers of Prefabricated Houses.
