The guided tour of the exhibition "Corner in Focus" with the exhibition author Matej Gavula and curator Daniel Grúň will be followed by a commentary by the artist Anetta Mona Chișa on art in public spaces, along with a discussion.
Matej Gavula is a visual artist based in Bratislava. He studied stone sculpture at the Secondary School of Applied Arts and then graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava in the Glass Studio. He works with the media of sculpture and object, photography, video, and performance.
Daniel Grúň is an art historian, curator, and poet, serving as an associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava and at the Institute of Art History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. He leads the Július Koller Society.
Anetta Mona Chișa creates most of her works in a collaborative duo with artist Lucia Tkáčová. They work with a range of media including videos, drawings, and sculptures. Their works often explore gender relations and the political dimension. One of their recent works in public space was the monument of Karl Marx in Chemnitz, Germany.
