The 28th annual Ještěd f Kleci is behind us. How did the program go and who won? We focused on reviving forgotten places in Liberec where we held events. On Monday, we kicked off the week-long program with concerts at the most beautiful cinema in Liberec - Cinema Varšava. The first to perform was the Plzeň musician Blue Chesterfield, followed by the electronic-sarcastic Hello Marcel who got us dancing. Tuesday evening was dedicated to a lecture at the bookstore and Antiquarian Fryč, where we learned about the urban transformations of Liberec's center over the centuries from heritage expert and historian Jaroslav Zeman. On Wednesday afternoon, we spent time at Papírové náměstí, where we thematically learned to bind a notebook by ourselves. On Thursday evening, we screened the film Panel story in the new courtyard of the Switch bar. The final day was dedicated to evaluating the works, announcing the entire JfK, and the subsequent afterparty. The judges who came to Liberec to evaluate the projects were: Ida Chuchlíková, 3Kurátorky - Diana Kněžíková, Kristýna Hájková, and Alžběta Horáčková, Jiří Kovanda, Michal Kohout, and Petr Hájek. The winner in the art section was Kája Sedláčková for the work Something from the Landscape, and in the architecture section, Pája Zahradníková with the project Promatorium for Animals. Nominated in the art category were Alžběta Skalická with her work Foreign Skin and Anna Šimralová with her Image of Space, and the nominations for architecture were also led by women, with awards going to Martina Leidlová for Family House in Hnátnice and Valerie Koubová for the project Forest Spa. Thank you to everyone who came, and we look forward to the next edition!
