The mercury in the thermometer is rising inexorably, and five selected personalities are converging in Liberec. They have a challenging task ahead - to select the best project from the last semester at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture in Liberec. A record number of studios, a large amount of assignments, and diverse approaches and outputs had to be decoded and evaluated by the group on Wednesday, June 11. In the evening, the legendary Ještěd F kleci was to be awarded, the traveling prize of FUA TUL.
The jury debated until the very end of the evening about to whom the traveling trophy would be awarded. The winner ultimately became Tina Peterková from the second year with a project for a gap between buildings in Žižkov – Hostel complex, bicycle rental, and restaurant with a chimney, which she developed in the Novák/Balda studio.
Nominations were plentiful, and the awards went to Eliška Málková andPetr Láska for their comprehensive work on the Czechoslovak pavilion at the Venice Biennale, Barbora Tauerová for examining the relationship of clouds to architecture, Klára Paterová for the corner house project between Anenská and Pekařská streets in Brno, Lenka Juchelková for modifications in the center of Lomnice nad Popelkou, Adam Lacinafor his bachelor's thesis Hospital Dačice, a team consisting of Vojtěch Šaroun, Martin Holba, Marie Čáslavská, Marie Štefanová, Klára Bužková and Kristian Holan for their extraordinary performance in designing a university campus in the fortress Terezín, further Zuzana Neťuková – minimal spas alias Tetris, Karolína Dvořáková for the center of Karolína Světlá, and finally the studio of Jan StolínPROSTOR S, where students experimented with new media within their own themes.
