Brno - Lawsuits against so-called construction certificates issued by authorized inspectors will not be resolved by courts, but by building authorities. This was decided by the Supreme Administrative Court in Brno (NSS), Czech Television (ČT) reported today. The court's verdict could significantly affect the situation regarding the Bauhaus hobby market in Ivanovice, Brno, which has not been able to open due to a decision by the Municipal Court in Prague. "Neither the court nor the Minister for Regional Development is entitled to decide on the matter, as the certificate from an authorized inspector is not an administrative decision and an authorized inspector is not an administrative body," said the chairman of the special panel of the NSS, Michal Mazanec, to the television. Opponents of construction must therefore turn not to the court, but to the building authority. They gain the opportunity to approach the building authority with a proposal that, in their opinion, the right to build has not arisen for certain reasons, Mazanec added. Bauhaus in Ivanovice is preparing to open. "It is a very recent court decision and based on it, we will do everything we can to open as soon as possible," said Aleš Pacal, the director of Bauhaus CZ, to the television.
