Boskovice (Blanensko) - Boskovice in Blanensko is planning to build affordable housing for young families in the area behind the hospital. The city also wants to utilize the location U Koupadel for development. This was stated this week by the mayor of the city, Hana Nedomová (ČSSD).

The land behind the hospital, covering an area of about 30,000 square meters, was returned to Boskovice from a developer who previously started building apartment buildings there. However, the developer abandoned the plan due to lack of interest. "The city council has already discussed the urban study of the residential complex Behind the Hospital. For now, it is just a proposal that still needs to be evaluated by experts," said the mayor. Experts will also recommend how to divide the land and how to appropriately provide utilities.

The city wants to offer housing to young families in the area, and the price of the property including the land should not exceed four million crowns. It is still undecided whether it will be terraced houses or apartments. It is also unclear whether the city will build the houses itself or just provide utilities and leave the construction to a developer. "There are indeed many options, and there is still room for negotiation," said the mayor.

The location U Koupadel in the city’s heritage zone should also serve as housing in the future. In this case, the city council has also discussed an urban study, which will also be evaluated by experts.
