Brno - The Czech Republic has a new tallest building. With a height of 111 meters, it has become the AZ Tower in Brno. The building is scheduled for final inspection in mid-April. Workers are currently working on the interiors. This was stated today in a press release by the Jihlava-based company PSJ, which is one of the investors in the project. The previous tallest building was the City Tower office tower in Prague, which measures 109 meters. All construction activity at the AZ Tower has now moved to the interior. Builders are finishing the entrance atrium, where there will be a restaurant, shops, a fitness center, and a car showroom. "The construction is complete and the final necessary work, individual and comprehensive tests are being carried out before we start handing over the building for inspection," said project manager Pavel Tureček. The entire construction is set to cost 800 million crowns. According to the latest information, investors have sold about 60 percent of all the spaces in the skyscraper. Many individuals and companies prefer to purchase rather than lease. Buyers are also opting for apartments. There were 17 apartments on offer, with only two now available. Priced at 16 million crowns excluding VAT, the largest one sold is a duplex apartment with an area of 330 square meters, which will be located on the 28th and 29th floors of the building. On the first to third floors of the skyscraper, there will be a shopping arcade. The other floors will feature offices, some will be occupied by apartments, and on the highest thirtieth floor, there will be technical facilities. In two underground levels, 275 cars will be parked.
