Brno - Brno has a new tallest building. It is the unfinished AZ Tower, which has already reached a height of 86.1 meters. The future skyscraper has thus surpassed the nearby Spielberk Tower B, which measures 85 meters. Petr Teplý from the company Properity, one of the project's investors, told ČTK this.
Construction workers are currently pouring concrete for the 28th above-ground floor of the skyscraper. There will be a total of 30 floors. AZ Tower will ultimately measure 111 meters and thus become the tallest building in the country. According to Teplý, the structural shell will be completed by September. Tenants will be able to move into the building in April next year.
"So far, we have rented more than half of the space," Teplý said. Of the 17 residential apartments, only four are still available. The largest of them, a duplex apartment with an area of 330 square meters, has already been sold for the price of 16 million CZK without VAT and will be located on the 28th and 29th floors.
A commercial passageway, including a restaurant, a fitness center covering 1350 square meters, and a car dealership with a service center, will be created on the first to third floors. Offices will occupy the other floors. The highest, the thirtieth, will house technical facilities. In two underground levels, 275 cars will park. The entire construction is expected to cost 800 million CZK.
The speed of construction for one floor is nine to 12 days. The winter frosts paused construction for a few days this year, but it did not delay the construction schedule.
