The Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague invites the public to its regular exhibition of studio projects. For the first time this year, the exhibition will be ceremonially opened; the FABRIKA winter 2016 vernissage will take place on Monday, January 25 at 18:00 in the building of the Faculty of Architecture CTU, Thákurova 9,
Prague 6.

The vernissage program includes studio tours, musical performances, and the announcement of nominations for the cult student competition Olověný Dušan. The event is organized by the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague and the Architecture Students' Association at FA CTU.

Working on studio projects is the most important, time-consuming, and also the most prestigious part of the students' studies. At the beginning of each semester, they choose a studio in which they will work for the entire semester. They decide based on the studio leader or the assignment, of which there were more than 200 at FA CTU this semester on current topics of housing, urban planning, design, and landscape and garden creation. The exhibition of student projects thus offers a rich insight into the teaching at FA CTU and a comprehensive view of current trends and "schools" in the fields of architecture, urbanism, landscape architecture, and design.

The results of the work of students from 44 studios will be presented. First-year students of Architecture and Urbanism will exhibit in the classrooms on the 2nd floor. The work of undergraduate and graduate students in this field will be showcased on the 5th to 7th floors, and the final works of Industrial Design students will be displayed on the 4th and 5th floors and in the plaster workshop in the basement. For the first time, the works of first-year students from the newly opened Landscape Architecture program will be visible.

Entry to the building is free; it is open on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00, and the exhibition will run from January 18 to January 29, 2016.
