The Hradec Court will decide in the case of the Kladruby horse breeding farm

Hradec Králové - The Regional Court in Hradec Králové will today announce a verdict in the case of allegedly manipulated contracts for repairs of the National Stud Farm in Kladruby nad Labem in the Pardubice region. Five companies and 17 individuals are facing charges, and the eighteenth accused passed away before the indictment was filed.

The indictment was filed on suspicion of acquiring an advantage in the awarding of a public contract, harming the financial interests of the EU, grant fraud, collusion in awarding a public contract, and violation of competition rules in the preparation and implementation of the procurement process within the project Restoration of Components of the National Cultural Monument Stud Farm in Kladruby nad Labem. The defendants are accountable for causing a damage of twelve million. Among the defendants are the companies Geosan Stavební, Chládek a Tintěra, Strabag, Cettus, and Metrostav. According to the prosecution, the criminal activity is related to the first and second phases of the restoration of the stud farm.

The main hearing began last November at the Regional Court in Hradec Králové, and subsequently continued at the branch in Pardubice. The verdict will be announced in Hradec Králové due to capacity reasons, with expected interest from the media and the public.
