Kladno - Kladno has approved its first regulatory plan for construction, a total of four will be created. They help determine the construction system, preserve important buildings, and also support development. The plan, which addresses the rules for the city center, was approved by the Kladno councilors at today's meeting. According to councilor Ondřej Rys (for the Choice for Kladno), it determines how the city will look in the coming decades. "The plan will be implemented gradually according to the needs of the city," Rys stated.
Opposition councilors criticized today the possible decrease in parking spaces; according to the councilor, a recent analysis showed that there are enough spaces in the center (over 3000), the problem is rather with their distribution. In the future, parking in public garages could be prioritized as part of the so-called street humanization.
The regulatory plans complement last year's approved zoning plan. The development rules also make it clearer for investors. The city is working on the remaining regulatory plans, with the next one to be approved for the area of the former Vojtěšská Steelworks. Two more plans for the Podprůhon district and for the area around Štechova Street are being prepared. All plans are discussed with citizens to take into account not only public but also private interests.
The preparation of the plans addresses aspects such as urbanism, architecture, the environment, transport, and more; the rules also determine, for example, the maximum dimensions of the planned buildings, their orientation, parking solutions, and so on.
