The company Kratochvíl parket profi has been exclusively offering its own floor designs for years, from vinyl to the most modern SPC coverings, of course including wooden floors. Currently, this includes three-layer wooden coverings in two collections, KPP Antique and KPP Château Herringbone, both featuring trendy designs of natural and bleached oaks, in oil or matte lacquer finishes.
"We like the idea that we can design coverings ourselves because as a first-hand seller, we know which designs are the most sought after. Therefore, we want to respond flexibly to customers’ wishes within our KPP collections," says Petr Kratochvíl, founder of Kratochvíl parket profi, about the creation of the own brand.
The KPP Antique collection offers distinctly rustic as well as calmer designs
"In the KPP Antique collection, the true beauty of wood stands out... For me, it lies in its diversity, its colors, and that this wood has, in the best sense of the word, 'imperfections' – knots and cracks, after all, it's nature...,” presents the collection of three-layer wooden coverings KPP Antique Aleš Viktorin, regional sales manager of Kratochvíl parket profi. The KPP Antique collection offers a full palette of designs, from distinctly rustic to those that are cleaner. "Some patterns in the Country grade have a very rustic appearance and very pronounced differences in the shades of individual panels, prominent knots and black filling of cracks; you can also find bleached sections, it's simply a very diverse and colorful floor. And the brushed finish emphasizes its rustic look even more. The large XL formats of 220 cm with beveled edges on all sides are also attractive. However, the collection also includes calmer designs in the Standard grade, and the Zephir design is a beautiful example of a distinctly clean execution, with minimal knots and only slight differences in grain and color." KPP offers seven designs in the most desired shades of natural and bleached oak, with oiled or matte lacquered surfaces.
Palace collection of parquet for modern interiors
The KPP Château Herringbone collection is calmer in terms of the liveliness of the wood, although the unusually large dimensions of the parquet panels (725 × 130 × 14 mm) are a standout feature. Six natural oak designs laid in a herringbone pattern refer to a style that originated many years ago in townhouses and castles and is now experiencing a revival. French castles and country estates also inspired the naming of the collection (e.g., Oak Chambord, Oak Apremont, Oak Clagny …).
"Today, the number one choice is purely natural oak, no dark colors, and the KPP Château Herringbone collection offers these most attractive shades. And additionally, there are bleached oaks, which are an interesting alternative. The natural appearance is emphasized by brushing, micro-beveled V grooves around the entire perimeter of the parquet, and surface treatments in the form of oils or matte lacquer," describes the palace collection Aleš Viktorin from KPP, affirming the appropriateness of the noble name: "The attractiveness is enhanced by the unusually large format of 725 × 130 mm compared to the classic 470 × 70 or 490 × 70. The floor in this large format appears more luxurious. The advantage is also the locking connection; the floor does not need to be glued, it can simply be installed as a floating floor."
