Danish architecture means quality and innovation. The design chairs of architect Arne Jacobsen, the Sydney Opera House by Jørn Utzon, or the visionary buildings of the BIG studio come to mind. Today, a number of top architectural firms operate in Denmark, and the work of four selected ones will be presented in the November lecture series, November Talks - Danish Stars. Organized by the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague and the Sto-Stiftung foundation under the patronage of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Prague. Lectures will take place every Monday at 18:30, on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of November 2016 in the Gočár lecture hall, Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague, Thákurova 9, Prague 6 – Dejvice.
The Faculty of Architecture CTU regularly hosts lectures by foreign architects. After Dutch architects (Dutch Footprint, 2013), the British (Best of British, 2014) and young French architects (French Future, 2014) were presented. Last year's November Talks featured figures from the contemporary Israeli scene. The series is part of the "November Talks" series, which has been organized for the 11th year by the Sto-Stiftung foundation at six leading European architecture schools (Stuttgart, Graz, Milan, Paris, London, and Prague).
