Pasohlávky (Brno area) - The Aqualand Moravia water park with spa facilities, which is being built in Pasohlávky in the Brno area, will open to the public on August 1. PR manager Renata Klevetová informed ČTK about this today. The construction, costing approximately 1.3 billion crowns, is part of the Pasohlávky Spa and Recreation Zone project, and the daily capacity of the water park will be 8,000 people.

The water park will significantly expand the offer of water entertainment in the region. Smaller facilities of a similar type are in Kuřim and Vyškov, and many people used to travel just across the border to the Austrian Laa an der Thaya. Now they will have the opportunity to visit the largest water park in the Czech Republic.
The complex will have more water surfaces than the currently largest one in Čestlice near Prague, totaling 3,000 square meters, some of which will draw water from the geothermal well in Mušov. This geothermal source adds to the park's appeal beyond just being an entertainment venue. There were Roman baths here during the second century AD, in the time of ancient Rome. Water at a temperature of 46 degrees Celsius is drawn from the geothermal well, which has certification as a natural healing resource from the Ministry of Health and is unique in the Czech Republic. It has a high content of hydrogen sulfide and minerals and is suitable for treating musculoskeletal, skin, women's, and urological diseases.
However, people will primarily find entertainment here. The six-hectare complex will feature seven pools, 12 water slides and attractions for rafting. The wellness area will offer nine different saunas, four hot tubs, a cryo chamber, and a salt bath.
The investor, ŽS Real, will provide free shuttle bus transport for visitors from Brno, and there will be parking for 350 cars and nine buses at the complex.
The water park, along with many additional services, will also be a significant employer. During the season, it is expected to employ up to 110 people, while 82 people will find work there year-round.
