Jevíčko - The Pardubice Region continues with the construction modifications of the Specialized Treatment Institute in Jevíčko. Currently, it is completing energy measures in Pavilion S at a cost of 25 million korunas, after which the modification of the interior spaces will follow. The background facilities for staff and patients will mainly change, announced Petr Šilar from the governor's office in a press release today.
Pavilion S from the early 20th century no longer meets current hygiene and technical regulations. The layout of the building will thus be changed to comply with current requirements and standards. The ground floor houses offices, clinics, laboratories, a radiology department, waiting areas for patients, hygiene facilities for patients and staff, central changing rooms, and cleaning rooms. The other three floors serve as inpatient departments providing follow-up care.
In the future, most rooms will have their own facilities, or they will be shared for two rooms. At the same time, each department will have its own separate barrier-free hygiene facilities. The entrance doors to the rooms will be replaced, and modifications will also be made to heating, air conditioning, and electrical wiring. Work will proceed floor by floor.
"At the same time, valuable interior elements will be preserved, as the building is a cultural monument," stated Governor Martin Netolický (ČSSD). The interior modifications will cost 45 million korunas.
The institute has existed since 1916 and treats around 2,000 patients annually with pulmonary diseases or movement disorders. The Pardubice Region has already repaired wooden resting areas for 15 million korunas, converted the former children's pavilion into a lung rehabilitation unit for 40 million korunas, and reconstructed the roof of the dining pavilion.
