Prague

Prague - The Prague city council approved about twenty additional changes to the zoning plan at its Tuesday meeting, which will allow, for example, the construction of a boatyard in Hodkovičky, the transformation of the Pragovka site in Záběhlice into apartments, and the expansion of Václav Havel Airport Prague. This follows from the resolution of the council published on the website of the Prague City Hall. The changes will still be discussed by the assembly.

These are changes from the so-called waves 06 and 07, for which the city assembly already agreed upon in the last and the one before last electoral period.
The changes will allow, for example, the construction of a boatyard in Hodkovičky, the transformation of the area near the Strahov Tunnel on Grafická Street in Smíchov into a hotel, further expansion of Václav Havel Airport Prague, or the construction of a recreational complex in Benice.
If the assembly approves the changes, the Pragovka site at the streets Pražská and Strašnická in Záběhlice could also see changes. The applicant for the change is Orco Investment, and the area is to be repurposed for housing.
One of the proposals concerns the area K Červenému dvoru in Strašnice, where a multifunctional complex with apartments, shops, and offices is to be developed. These are plots near the Žižkov freight station, which are currently designated for services, production, and a railway siding. However, a transport artery called Jarovská spojka is planned nearby for the future, which was pointed out by the City Development Department during the discussion of the change.
The changes will also allow the construction of family houses in Hostivař, Velká Chuchla, and in the area V Zákopech near the Kunratická spojka in Písnice. In the case of Písnice, the applicant is Central Group and Ekospol, according to the document. The municipality in Libuš, under which Písnice falls, does not agree with the development. Initially, the hygienic authorities were also against the proposal, as there is supposed to be a bypass for Písnice in the area, but later they changed their position to conditional approval.
