Fresh Fruit and Archtung cordially invite you to a presentation of the architectural studios estudi d'arquitectura – toni gironès saderra from Barcelona and TAB Collective from Vienna. The program will also include a discussion on the visual interpretation of architecture with guests toito architects and MAPA architects.

Toni Gironès Saderra | Estudi d'arquitectura – is an architectural practice based in Barcelona. The Catalan origin of this studio is a significantly characteristic element of their work, known for its spatial illustration of the concept "minimal construction / maximal intervention". Their design approach is shaped by two key elements: limit, as a working space, and time, as a part of the construction process.

"Our focus in creation is based on the everyday experiences of people, identifying the threshold of values and their use in relation to the environment while blurring the formal boundaries between individual spaces." Toni Gironès Saderra

TAB – is a Vienna-based collective founded in 2015, focusing on experimental as well as specific social and cultural themes and their impact on architecture, urbanity, and design. Their distinctive handwritten approach to solving questions on unconventional topics earned TAB the first prize in the international competition "Metropolis, ideasforward" as well as the outstanding artist award experimental design 2016.

"In our conceptual and architectural projects, we strive to question contemporary agendas and aim to create other, autonomously evolving solutions." TAB Collective

HOW IT IS: VISUAL INTERPRETATION

"How is a good visualization made? Shouldn’t I rather sketch it? How to assemble a nice model?" What interprets the design of the space best? About how to select and create a meaningful visual interpretation, toito architects and MAPA architects will discuss with us.

The discussion HOW IT IS is a regular format of the civic association Archtung, aimed at bringing various issues closer to students of the Faculty of Architecture STU that also relate to their studies of architecture, but often are not included in their study plan. A traditional platform has thus been created, where individual experts from practice motivate and show HOW IT IS: ... In collaboration with the Fresh Fruit organization, they have prepared a series of three editions, which became part of the SINGULARCH project as a supplementary discussion alongside the presentation of young European architectural studios.

SINGULARCH is a series of lectures in the field of architecture and urbanism, extending into interdisciplinary spheres. The aim of the project is to bring issues of shaping our environment closer, not only from an architectural and urbanistic perspective, but also psychologically and sociologically. The main intention of SINGULARCH is to contribute proven and effective practices from around the world as well as to present unique projects directly from their creators. The format of lectures and discussions aims to benefit the professional public, educate everyone, as well as serve as a first step towards certain change and spark interest in current events in our country. Since 2012, the following architects have presented: Ronald Rietveld (Rietveld Landscape, Amsterdam), Kersten Geers (OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen, Brussels), RAUM (Nantes), FALA (Porto), Bureau B+B (Amsterdam), FAKT (Berlin). We are very pleased that in 2018 our last invitation this year was accepted by architect Toni Gironès Saderra (Barcelona) and the studio TAB from Vienna. We believe that their work will also be inspiring for all of us.

Organized by ČO - Fresh Fruit in collaboration with the civic association Archtung.
