Vladimír's bookstore Serius and the civic association PLAC warmly invite you to the 38th lecture in the "Printed Architecture" series. This time on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 6:30 PM in Jablonec nad Nisou, we will welcome dramaturge, cultural manager, and producer Michaela Hečková. The lecture will focus on the book About Cities and People, which maps thirty-three personal stories of thirty-three active individuals from the regions who are dedicated to reviving Czech public space.

Michaela Hečková (*1986) studied Czech studies and cultural studies at the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in Olomouc and the theory of interactive media at the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno. Together with coffee house owner Ondřej Kobza, she leads the project Pianos on the Street. She has long been engaged in interventions and revitalization of public spaces. She served as the program director of the Street for Art festival focused on art in public spaces in Prague's housing estates Jižní Město and Černý Most and as the program director of the progressive contributory organization Praha 14, transforming Prague 14 into a vibrant and cultural urban area. She participated in the project to nominate Ostrava for the title of European Capital of Culture 2015. In the past, she focused on literary criticism and cultural journalism. She enjoys traveling by train, bus, car, and walking. She loves crisis scenarios, production crises, and happy endings that splash optimism and awkwardly inappropriate irony across the pages of books.
