Automated window and door profiles Schüco represent a comprehensive set of equipment for windows and doors that address not only comfort in operation but also energy savings, security, and design. In combination with fire protection elements, burglary prevention systems, or electronic access control systems, they represent a unique system that can be individually programmed to manage the operations of a home or office. The system allows for remote setting, controlling, and synchronizing of ventilation, shading, and interior temperature with ventilation, lighting, and heating or air conditioning control. Intelligent windows can operate in night cooling mode during the summer or ventilate the room based on the current CO2 concentration, thus ensuring an optimal indoor environment. Heavy large glass sliding systems can be operated with a single click. You can control your home using a smartphone, computer, remote control, or through a standard central control unit. When leaving the house, the system alerts you to any open openings and can close them on its own.

The automated building control program is offered for aluminum window systems AWS, sliding systems ASS, and door systems ADS. All components are perfectly matched to each other, and the mechanical parts are integrated into the frames so that the resulting impression is not disturbed. All of this ensures perfect thermal insulation values.

Mechatronic fittings Schüco TipTronic

Schüco TipTronic is the first hidden mechatronic window fitting that combines effective energy management, security, building automation, comfort, and design. It is compatible with security triple glazing and can be installed in sashes weighing up to 160 kg. The ventilation position with a maximum width of 40 cm is ideal for utilizing night cooling and hybrid ventilation. It can be operated via an intuitive button on the handle (with an option for an LED for night mode) or by all methods in the central control system. Up to 30 windows can be grouped for control and operated simultaneously. Higher security compared to standard automatic windows is ensured by multipoint locks that provide increased resistance to burglary in resistance class WK2. Magnetic contacts connect the windows to the alarm and building management system, further contributing to higher security. The window also features finger trap protection. It can detect obstacles while closing and automatically react. The TipTronic fittings received the prestigious German iF Product Design Award in 2006.

Given the large formats of sliding systems, whose weight can be several hundred kilograms, there is also consideration for light and quick operation. By pressing a button integrated into the frame, doors can be opened and closed using the e-slide technique.

This allows for fully automatic and silent movement of sashes weighing up to 250 kg (i.e., up to a size of 3 x 3 m). In residential settings, it is especially appreciated by older people, the disabled, and children, for whom moving the doors will be no problem. Maximum security is ensured through an integrated locking mechanism that immediately moves the sash in the opposite direction if it encounters an obstacle during movement, such as a person or object. Through alternative infrared sensing, such an obstacle can be detected even before contact occurs if it approaches at a defined angle. A fingerprint reader can be installed for external access.


Primarily (but not exclusively) for commercial construction, a wireless building management system Schüco Wireless Control System has been designed. It serves to automatically control the indoor environment in a room. It manages heating, ventilation, lighting, and shading with energy-efficient results. The system monitors current climatic conditions, compares them to an optimal state, and subsequently activates the appropriate systems to achieve an ideal state. Wall switches (battery-operated) can be placed on almost any surface, including glass or wood. They remain available for potential relocation. The systems are not only interesting for new buildings; they can also enhance operations in existing structures without the need for cutting cables, which is excellent for heritage-protected buildings.

For entrance doors, Schüco offers a modular system Door Control System that integrates individual communication, control, and security modules into a single panel. These are variable according to the user's needs, including height (e.g., for accessibility for the disabled or children). The Schüco Door Control System is installed directly into the door profile, ensuring comfortable control for both family homes and smaller structures, as well as medium and large architectural projects. It can be equipped with a code keypad, fingerprint reader, chip card reader, intercom with video module, LED lighting, illuminated house number, and bell. In larger buildings, the module can be outfitted with a locking switch, emergency button, and corresponding security label. This ensures all requirements for electric locking systems on escape routes are met. Clean lines made of well-crafted black glass and the versatility of the product have been recognized with the red dot design award and the iF product design award.

An interesting way to illuminate facades is the new LightSkin, developed by Schüco in collaboration with lighting leader, Zumtobel Group, designed exclusively for Schüco profiles. It involves a facade partial lighting technology integrated into the window frame or facade profile. For windows, it is installed, for example, in the glazing bead, and all related accessories are also routed hidden. You can choose the color and intensity of the light. Asymmetrical ellipsoid-shaped beams distribute light evenly across the window. This innovative system allows you to creatively highlight the architecture of the house at night without disturbing daytime operations.
