The Bohuslav Fuchs Award is a student competition currently organized by the Student Community of the Faculty of Architecture at VUT in Brno. It is awarded for the best student studio project. The award is given twice a year by an independent jury, in the winter and summer semesters. The jury consists of respected figures from the architectural scene who are not affiliated with FA VUT, as well as students who are past recipients of this award.
The studio works displayed in the faculty's premises are evaluated by a jury made up of esteemed personalities and students – laureates of the previous round. Confirmed participants include Ing. arch. Ondřej Synek (re:architekti), Ing. arch. Peter Jurkovič (former GutGut), and Ing. arch. Radko Květ (Květ architekti). From the student side, Bc. Daniel Struhařík, Linda Boušková, and Karolína Melichárková.
The winning works will be announced during a ceremonial evening on May 25, 2016, at 7 PM in the premises of Praha / Forum for Architecture and Media, Husova 18, 602 00, Brno.

In addition to the student winners from the past year of the Bohuslav Fuchs Award, the jury will include the following architects:

Radko Květ (*1954 Třebíč) after graduating from the gymnasium at Slovanském náměstí, enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture VUT, where he graduated in 1980. He then worked at Brnoprojekt (1981-88). Since 1991, he has been running his own architectural office. From 2000-09, he worked as a lecturer at FA VUT.

Ondřej Synek (*1983 Prague) after completing gymnasium, studied sequentially at FA ČVUT, FUA TUL in Liberec, and the School of Architecture Emil Přikryl at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where he graduated in 2011. He was the director of the Hanspaul Film Festival Eintopf. In the fall of 2010, he organized a summer architectural workshop re:vodňany and invited Michal Kuzemenský as the main lecturer for the workshop. In 2011, he co-founded the atelier re:architekti with Michal and several other colleagues from the groundbreaking workshop. Additionally, he runs a studio at FA ČVUT with Michal Kuzemenský.

Peter Jurkovič (*1979 Bratislava) is an architect based in Bratislava. After years of teamwork (GutGut), he is seeking happiness and creative freedom in an individual career. Since 2013, he has been creating under his own name and building the JRKVC brand. His work focuses mainly on residential architecture and design. He constantly seeks a fragile balance between form and content.
