Gallery VI PER warmly invites you to the last guided tour with curator Tereza Rudolf, which takes place as a complementary program to the exhibition Disputed Places of Memory. The exhibition emphasizes that memory – especially collective memory – must be subjected to certain doubts and careful examination. The demolition of monuments to "old friendships" often symbolically confirms the end of a certain political alliance. Selected artistic projects explore the function and significance of "monuments" (in a broad sense) and intentionally abandon the notion of a traditional memorial – that is, a statue of a statesman. Organized by Gallery VI PER and the Photography Festival.
