Mělník – The director of the Mělník Regional Museum, Miloslava Havlíčková, is retiring, and the Central Bohemian Regional Authority, which is the museum's founder, has announced a competition for the position. Interested candidates can apply until April 29, with requirements including a university degree, knowledge of legal regulations related to the museum's activities, and the preparation of a proposal for the museum's development concept, Zuzana Žídková from the regional office informed ČTK today.

"The Mělník Regional Museum offers interesting exhibitions that have always enriched the experience with original interactive activities. The current director is retiring to a well-deserved break, and the region is therefore looking for a replacement. She deserves great praise for her work so far," stated Václav Švenda (Allies), the regional councilor for culture, heritage care, and tourism.

The museum is located in the historical center of the city, with the main theme of the permanent exhibition being regional history, nature, and winemaking. Part of the winemaking exhibition is housed in original medieval cellars. The institution hosts a number of exhibitions and events throughout the year.
