The A8000 studio, led by Martin Krupauer and Pavel Kvintus, has been one of the leading Czech architectural firms for over three decades. The team of experienced architects and engineers specializes in projects that are demanding in both scale and complexity, in the Czech Republic and beyond. They also operate in Slovakia and Canada and have a long-term collaboration with foreign studios in the role of local architects. Through Martin Krupauer, we significantly engage in public discussions and land development. In addition to architecture, Krupauer focuses on visions and strategies for transforming transitional areas and brownfields in the Czech Republic and beyond. He currently leads a team preparing for the construction of the Vltava Philharmonic in Prague, the first significant cultural building in Prague in the last 100 years. Through projects such as the revitalization of cities, their districts, or campuses, we affirm interdisciplinary practice.

In 2020, the studio received the Building of the Year award for the project of the Sedlčany Community Center, and in 2022, an honorary mention as a Finalist of the Czech Architecture Award for the reconstruction of Pavilion Z at the České Budějovice Exhibition Center. Other notable realizations by the studio include the architectural design of the multifunctional hall Forum Karlín in Prague, the reconstruction of the concert hall of the South Bohemian Philharmonic in České Budějovice, the Martin shopping gallery in Slovakia, and the reconstruction of train stations in Plzeň and České Budějovice.

ATELIER 8000 Ltd. was founded in 1990 by architects Martin Krupauer and Jiří Střítecký based on the desire to build - to realize buildings with maximum creative and operational freedom and responsibility towards the client - investor. This effort, the conviction about the architect as a person responsible to the client for the entire course of the work from design to realization, led to the establishment of a team capable of professionally ensuring the entire course of construction.

ATELIER 8000 Ltd. processes contracts worth tens to hundreds of millions of crowns, ensuring architectural, construction-engineering, and operational components of design work on its own. It collaborates long-term with a number of specialized professions, aiming for continuity of work, relationships, and project success at all stages.

Creative design and management experiences are backed by the design of a wide typological spectrum; constructions are realized even in the most demanding spatial, construction-technical, territorial, and commercial conditions.

Currently, ATELIER 8000 Ltd. has two branches in České Budějovice and Prague. The authorized representative is architect Martin Krupauer - the owner of the company.

ATELIER 8000 Ltd. employs around 45 qualified staff - architects, civil engineers, HVAC engineer - coordinator, structural engineer, project management specialists, project control staff, administrative and auxiliary workers.
